“I love fitness because it is working to have a body and mind that can meet the challenges of this world.”
What’s your coaching style?
Demanding. Each individual must give the best they have to offer. Whether it be physically, mentally, or emotionally you have to dig deep and find your own personal relationship with wellness.
Why do you coach?
A few years ago, I came to a crossroads and decided I wanted to be more fit. I was an athlete in college and thought I knew exactly what to do. So, I was running like a mad woman on the treadmill and I did not see results. My body was not changing and my knees hurt. I decided to seek help. My journey led me on an adventure of self-discovery. With the help of the American Council on Exercise, I was able to surpass my goals. I realized that if I could accomplish such goals then I could lead others to do the same.
What’s your favorite thing about fitness?
Our bodies are created for movement utilizing strength, endurance and flexibility. Through exercise we work the mind and the body to achieve our own optimal cardiovascular functioning and lung capacity as well as other elements functioning. I love fitness because it is working to have a body and a mind that can meet the challenges of this world.
